I wish to thank Dr Gharib, Consultant Haematologist, and his team on Ward 2A for his excellent care. His genuine concern and calm positive attitude has allowed me to meet the challenges of my diagnosis and has helped enormously. I am aware that Ward 2A won the people’s choice award this year and would urge the cheif executive of whiston hospital to help them improve further the service by providing more funds and staff to continue their good work. I truly believe that all patients under the care of ward 2A should go directly to them in an emergency and that staff / resources need to be funded and available to do this. The confidence and peace of mind this would bring to patients would be invaluable. Thank you Dr Gharib, for your time, your energy and your commitment. Your understanding, honesty and professionalism is very much appreciated, you really have made a difference.

He immediately developed a good rapport and spoke at a level which was easily understood by a lay person. I feel that I can trust him to do the best for me, and he listens carefully and supports sensible actions.

Dr Gharib treated me promptly, professionally and with great care. He put me at ease by explaining my condition in great detail. His positive, caring attitude was first class. All my questions were answered thoroughly no matter how trivial some were. I left the hospital with a more positive feeling and confidence that I was being well looked after. Thank you.

Dr Gharib, is one of the most caring, and understanding doctors I have ever met he explains my illness and treatment to me in a way my wife and I can understand. We never feel rushed, he has time to answer all our questions and worries. I know with Dr Gharib I am getting the best care that is available. He is without question MAGIC. Marion & Peter Brislen
